Olfactive Biosolutions Wins Startup World Cup Berkeley Regional Finals
Mountain View, CA. Sept. 16, 2024---- Olfactive Biosolutions, the leader in ectopic and chemosensory receptor technology, recently won the Berkeley Regional Finals of Startup World Cup, the premier global tech startup competition.
This regional competition for the Startup World Cup featured eight finalists, chosen out of a large number of applications from the Berkeley community of students and alumni. The victory leads Olfactive Biosolutions to the Startup World Cup grand finale from Oct. 2-4 in San Francisco, where one winner will walk away with $1 million in funding from sponsor Pegasus Tech Ventures.
Olfactive Biosolutions chief strategy officer and cofounder Chris Hanson had four minutes to present, followed by two minutes to answer questions from a panel of judges. “That was time enough to describe Olfactive Biosolutions’ exciting mission to bring low-cost, no-side-effects treatments for a wide range of diseases to large swathes of the world’s population, and to detail the company’s three patents that treat diabetes, obesity, high blood sugar and high blood pressure,” Hanson said.

Olfactive Bio will work very hard to win the ultimate prize of a million-dollar investment,” he said.
Friday’s competition featured Bay Area companies with products focused on medicine, manufacturing, the circular economy and software.
